How to solve the shrinkage and loosening defects of cast iron platforms?

1.Solidification is carried out at the thick and hot joints formed by the casting structure,artificially creating a basic balance of temperature fields throughout the casting.

2.Correct process design.The sprue is located at the relative wall of the casting,and is often numerous and scattered.Make the metal liquid that enters the thick wall earlier solidify in the early stage,and solidify in the thin wall later,so as to achieve equilibrium solidification in all areas.For machine tool castings with uniform wall thickness,multiple internal runners and air outlets are used.Multiple internal runners,dispersed and evenly distributed,ensure overall heat balance.The exhaust holes are thin and numerous,which not only ensures smooth exhaust but also plays a role in heat dissipation.

3.Change the position of the sprue inside the casting.

1.Installation of cast iron platform bracket:Place the cast iron platform gently on the bracket and adjust the fine adjustment bolts on the bracket to the level of the cast iron platform.The bracket can reduce the labor intensity of inspectors,and the height of the bracket is generally around 800mm.

2.Installation of Anchors on Cast Iron Platforms:Cast iron platforms can be designed for anchor installation.Initially,the user prepares the foundation and embedded holes according to the drawings of the cast iron platform,and then places the anchor into the reserved holes set in advance to adjust the level of the cast iron platform.

3.Installation of cast iron platform pad iron:The cast iron platform is adjusted to a horizontal position,and the load is evenly distributed on each support point,with an ambient temperature of(20±5)℃.Avoid vibration during use.The cast iron platform is installed using shims,which are easy to install and move.The adjustment shims are placed in the appropriate position,and the bolts are placed in the holes of the foundation.After lifting the cast iron platform in place,the bolts are inserted into the anchor bolt holes at an appropriate height.After tightening the nuts,they are placed on the cushion plate,and the fixed device on the slide seat is adjusted to the correct position.The cast iron platform is cleaned thoroughly.
