How to Install a Granite Marble Platform

1.Screw Fixation Method

Drill 1 cm deep holes at the four corners of the tabletop and insert plastic anchors.Drill corresponding holes in the brackets and secure them from below with screws.Add anti-vibration silicone pads or reinforcement rings.Holes can also be drilled in the crossbeams,and adhesive can be applied for enhanced performance.

Advantages:Excellent overall load-bearing capacity,sleek and lightweight appearance,optimal stability,and minimal wobbling during movement.

2.Mortise and Tenon Installation Method(Bottom Side)

Similar to woodworking joinery,the marble must have thickened edges.If the surface areas of the tabletop and the bracket differ significantly,material filling may be required.This method is more commonly used with plastic or wooden brackets.Iron frames,due to their poor flexibility and excessive hardness,may cause instability or damage to the base during movement.

3.Adhesive Bonding Method

Widen the contact surfaces of the four legs of the bracket to increase the bonding area,then use stone adhesive(e.g.,marble glue)for fixation.This method is more commonly used for glass tabletops.For marble surfaces,the bottom must be treated and an additional wooden layer attached.

Disadvantage:Relatively poor overall load-bearing capacity.

Dense structure,smooth and wear-resistant surface,low roughness value.

After long-term natural aging,internal stresses are eliminated,ensuring stable material properties without deformation.

Resistant to acids,alkalis,corrosion,and magnetic interference.

Non-rusting and moisture-proof,easy to use and maintain.

Low thermal expansion coefficient,minimally affected by temperature changes.

If the working surface is impacted or scratched,it only forms dents without producing burrs or raised marks,ensuring measurement accuracy remains unaffected.

How to Evaluate Granite Marble Platform Material

Ink Drop Test:

Place a drop of ink on the Granite Marble Platform.If the ink quickly spreads and seeps in,it indicates loose internal particles and lower quality.If the ink does not penetrate,the marble has a dense structure and better quality.

Note:This is a simple test for water absorption.Non-penetration may suggest low water absorption,but many Granite Marble Platforms have a protective coating to prevent staining.Thus,the result may reflect the coating rather than the marble itself.Lower water absorption is preferable,as it reduces the risk of precision loss due to humidity changes.

Tapping Test:

Tap the Granite Marble Platform and listen to the sound.A clear,ringing sound indicates high-quality marble with uniform internal structure and no cracks.A dull sound suggests internal fractures or loose texture.

Note:This test mainly reflects hardness and strength but cannot be the sole criterion for quality,as the sound also depends on the marble's dimensions.
